Budderfly replaces most or all of your HVAC units with ultra-high efficiency units from brands like Carrier, Lennox, or Trane. 

Maintenance + Warranty: The manufacturer warranty covers all Budderfly-installed units. Budderfly assumes responsibility for the preventative maintenance of all rooftop HVAC units, regardless of if Budderfly replaced the unit or not. This includes: 

• Quarterly preventative maintenance services
• Convenient access to Budderfly customer support for all HVAC-related issues 
  

Kitchen hood controls replace normal on/off switch for kitchen hoods with demand-controlled kitchen ventilation systems (DCKV).  

The control system has temperature sensors installed in the hoods that properly calibrate exhaust fan speed.

Variable speed drives are installed on exhaust fans so they can ramp up and down based on cooking temperature needs.

Exhaust fan automatically turns on when it senses changes in cooking temperature and speed.

The goal of the control system is to reduce the speed & runtime of exhaust fans to save energy.

Budderfly installs programmable, Wi-Fi enabled thermostats in your locations, which are programed with temperature set points to optimize HVAC efficiency without compromising comfort in the building. 

TIP: Budderfly does not manipulate temperature set points for energy saving purposes.

Budderfly installs advanced controls on walk-in coolers & freezers, either KE2 (blue) or NRM (grey). Controllers are Wi-Fi-enabled and designed to: 

• Monitor temperatures 24/7 
• Reduce electricity consumption by regulating defrost cycles  
• Proactively alert on high temperatures & equipment issues via email, which you can follow up with customer service to ensure the unit is operating properly

Maintenance: Budderfly is responsible for any equipment issues related to or caused by the installation of the advanced controlling devices.
